Welcome!
Hello,
My name is Erin D. Moss. I received my B.A. in Philosophy, Neuroscience, and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis in 2010. After graduating, I decided to dedicate a year to full-time community service with AmeriCorps in Washington, D.C. Following that incredibly fulfilling experience, I moved to Chicago to begin my graduate education and consulting career.
I am currently studying to earn my M.A. in Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and I will be graduating in May. I/O psychology is the scientific study of the workplace. Within the field, rigor and methods of psychology are applied to issues of critical relevance to business, including but not limited to talent management, coaching, assessment, selection, training, organizational development, performance, and work-life balance.
I am also employed as Project Manager with Monar Consulting, Inc. With this position, I have been able to assemble and direct my team by focusing on strengths, building effective relationships, and encouraging personal development.
In my time with Monar Consulting, I have used my experiences in psychology to design a variety of interventions and trainings. In one such project, I generated and administered a multi-phase employee engagement survey to over 300 employees. Subsequently, I built interactive presentations and deliverables for executive managers, supervisors, and employees that detailed survey findings.
I have also created and developed innovative 2-day workshops for global executive-level managers in Strategic Planning, Succession Planning, and Talent Management. These unique trainings have taken place in China and were aimed at increasing leadership effectiveness and fine-tuning corporate approaches to planning, productivity, motivation, employee development, controlling costs, and growing revenue.
Please enjoy learning more about me and the interesting dimensions of I/O psychology on this site. My blog, The I/O Eye, details topics, interventions, and case studies that I have researched and analyzed while in school or in the field.
Thank you for visiting!
